| The first group will leave shortly after 9:00 a.m. from the main (administrative office) entrance at Port Burwell Provincial Park. Map here. There will be several guides (members of the Otter Valley Naturalists Club) to lead groups of varying abilities and interests. You don't need to pre-register, just show up dressed for the weather and terrain (warm clothes and sturdy boots). Bring your binoculars. OVN leaders Ron Allensen and Adrian Juurlink would like everyone to come out for a hike— even if you can't make it there for 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will make sure you hitch up with a group and have fun and get back in time to enjoy the local history walking tour at 11:00. |
Starts at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Hall. Watch a live demonstration using ordinary materials and equipment you probably already have at home. Learn the "tricks" to determine soil temperature, generate "bottom heat" and prevent disease. There is no need to pre-register— this seminar is free with your Seedy Saturday registration. |
NOW CONFIRMED. The Port Burwell Marine Museum will open its doors for Seedy Saturday participants. The building is within easy walking distance of Trinity Hall. |
